This stunning ring had been scrapped as its hero stone was cracked. With the way stone prices are going, the owner simply decided that, as nice as the ring was, it was not worth the money. Just look at that scrolled gallery and the angular cross hatched shoulders. With the perfect piece of moss agate to fit, this ring has a new lease of life - and just look at the richness of that colour combination. This moss agate is a vibrant green and it is only when you look closely you see the pattern - just like a green lake - you peer in and that amazing algae detail emerges. This sizeable stone of 8cts is such a rich earthy green - and the rosiness of the yellow gold is a great contrast to the stone. Moss Agate has long been used to symbolise strength, protection and courage - and therefore no surprise it was used as a talisman by warriors. Held in a 4 claw 14ct yellow gold setting, the delicate hand carved gallery is made up of scrolls of gold. With raised shoulders to add not only support to the setting, but a fabulous angular cross hatching which catches the light as you move your hand.
